The first series built boat, designed during Metropiù Metromeno construction, again for Cantieri Bonin; 30 boats built, a huge success of a young designer and a small boatyard.
After the launch of the Open Class Metropiù Metromeno, the collaboration between our Studio and the Bonin shipyard continued with this 34 ft cruiser racer. She was presented in two versions: with and without aft spoiler to stay possibly below 10 m length requirement, to be sailed without license for Italian laws. The streamlined lines are still modern, and show a straight vertical stem, large volumes at stern and a long waterline length. She was a boat with unimaginable interior volumes for a fast and performance hull, accentuated by the coachroof extended almost up to the bow. The layout is still innovative, with its semicircular kitchen, three double cabins, and two comfortable toilets (on a 34 ft) with shower, do not regret the layout and spaces of a real cruiser. The Bonin 34 is offered with two different sail plan and appendices options, a more sporty oriented with taller mast and lead, deeper keel and one with standard mast and cast iron keel. Also for the construction it was possible to choose a lighter and rigid sandwich hull lamination or for the more traditional single skin laminate. The deep rudder was laminate in female mould around a stainless steel stock made with different sections tubes.
